Kazeka is a fashion brand established in 2020 by the visionary Buhle Zulu. Rooted in the vibrant and culturally rich province of KwaZulu-Natal, Kazeka is influenced by the eclectic blend of African heritage, colonial elegance, and the city’s art deco charm. The name Kazeka honours Buhle’s eternal grandmother, a woman who embodied grace, resourcefulness, and creativity, teaching Buhle the power of craftsmanship.
Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Buhle was shaped by a business-minded environment, which fuelled her ambition. With a BCom degree in Economics & Finance and a BA in Fashion, Buhle merges her academic background with her creative passions, including poetry, art, and design.
In 2020, Buhle launched Kazeka at a pop-up store in Musgrave, Durban, showcasing her vision for fashion that celebrates heritage while embracing modern luxury. Kazeka designs pieces that are more than clothing—they are statements of empowerment and culture.
Kazeka serves a wide clientele, tailoring each piece to suit diverse body types, from size small to XXL. The brand is committed to sustainability, often collaborating with local artisans and occasionally importing luxurious fabrics from Turkey, China, Ghana, and Nigeria.
